About Us

Madeeco is a creative studio rooted in sustainability, small-batch craftsmanship, and a deep connection to nature. At its heart is the preservation of flowers, transforming the fleeting beauty of blooms into lasting works of art. Surrounding this practice is a carefully curated range of artisan products, created with the same reverence for natural materials, memory, and mindful living.

Origins

Founded by Nooriya and Azeem in 2018, Madeeco began as a way to slow down and create more sustainably, a quiet counterbalance to their demanding careers in healthcare. Early explorations focused on eco-conscious, small-batch homeware items, made with intention and a commitment to thoughtful living.

The Journey into Floral Preservation

In 2018, Nooriya began pressing flowers for the first time, starting with a bouquet she bought from the iconic Columbia Road Flower Market, which she pressed and framed into artwork for their home. What began as a simple, intuitive gesture became a quiet creative ritual, offering both connection and calm.

In 2020, during the uncertainty of the pandemic, both Nooriya and Azeem joined the front line of medical care. It was in this demanding chapter of life and history that Nooriya felt drawn toward a quieter, more restorative practice. Creating art with preserved flowers became a therapeutic outlet, a way to find stillness and connection amid the intensity of the time. She began exploring a variety of techniques, gradually refining her process. These early pieces were introduced into Madeeco’s sustainable homeware range, blending naturally into the brand’s evolving identity. Soon after came her first commission: preserving a bride’s wedding bouquet. The reaction was immediate and heartfelt.

Today

An award-winning studio, Madeeco is recognised for its expert approach to floral preservation, but its practice extends beyond floral preservation, encompassing a broader vision of sustainable, botanical design.

As an intentionally small, dedicated team, Madeeco produces limited works with purpose and precision. Each piece is artist-led, made by hand by Nooriya in East London, and guided by the slow craft of working with sentimental flowers. At the heart of the studio is a commitment to sustainability, thoughtful making, and the creation of timeless pieces - from floral artworks to a curated range of artisan products inspired by botanica.
